Red Moon Restaurant and Pizzeria was established in 1968 shortly after homes were built in the Candlewood section of Howell. The name "Red Moon" derives from an old Italian song "Luna Rossa," which translates into "Red Moon."
Before migrating to Howell, our owners ran a successful pizzeria in Brooklyn. Once here, they were determined to bring Brooklyn style pizza and Italian food to the people of Howell.
Most of the new residents of Howell had also migrated from Brooklyn and Staten Island and welcomed Red Moon's delicious Brooklyn style pizza and Italian food. Our customers understand the importance of using high quality ingredients. This customer knowledge is the secret to Red Moon’s success.
Over the last four decades, getting food from Red Moon has become a tradition to the people of Howell. Maintaining that tradition for 3 generations is something that we take a tremendous amount of pride in.
